Time to Think
Festivals & Events; developed for Creative Industries Development Agency (CIDA)
“wish I had known all this stuff before?”
Training participant
Time to Think is an intensive five day course that focuses on planning, managing and delivering better festivals and events. Key areas covered include sponsorship, fundraising, event management, marketing, licences, health and safety, risk assessments, venue negotiation and team management.
The group is encouraged to share experiences of previous festivals and events and the course has many practical opportunities to carry out real-life exercises focused on licensing and risk assessment.
The course also touches on elements of business planning and financial management that can feed into making festivals and events run as smoothly as possible.
All our training courses are developed with needs and experience levels in mind and aim to provide meaningful and practical solutions for those working in the creative industries, whilst allowing enough time and reflection for networking and sharing within the group. Other courses recently delivered for CIDA also include a half-day workshop on Understanding Legal Structures, and a stand-alone Festival Logistics Day.
