It allows delegates to take an in-depth look at where they stand now and what they need to do to ensure future stability alongside achieving their artistic and financial ambitions.
the hub provides interactive workshops that focus on
- Back to Basics and Effective Management
SME managers in the cultural sector are generally not in it for the money. This session enables them to unpick their key drivers. Why do they get out of bed in the morning?
What are their personal values and motivations and how they can be harnessed to best effect for the growth and long-term sustainability of their organisation? The session covers values and motivators, mission and vision and getting the balance right between these elements in order to inform a targeted and meaningful strategic plan
- Putting on the Nuts and Bolts – Why do we need a business plan and how do we get one?
The focus of this session is on explaining what needs to be in a business plan and why. It empowers delegates to get started on mapping out their own artistic and financial future. This session includes financial management, budgeting and cashflow.
Translating the words into pounds and people – A Soft Landing
- How do we translate what we’ve got into a thriving organisation?
It is common for SMEs to put time into the strategic side of business planning but they often fail when it comes to making it work in terms of the finances and having the right people in place that are able to do the work required. This session focuses on action and milestone plans that can act as a call to action and have immediate practical use outside of the training room
Other sessions within this series include fundraising and marketing and the programme can be adapted to create business planning and development training packages that are bespoke to client needs.
