An Introduction to Arts Fundraising: a bespoke course developed and delivered for Southwark Council
After successfully delivering a number of arts fundraising courses for CIDA (Creative Industries Development Agency) the hub was invited to design and deliver a two-day introduction to arts fundraising course that had local relevance to individual artists and arts organisations based in or working in Southwark.
This interactive course ensured that delegates had the opportunity to test their fundraising skills and knowledge within a safe, group environment. The course enabled them to have an understanding of the benefits of having a fundraising strategy, the different types of funding, the skills required and where their projects or ideas would be most likely find fundraising success with the minimal outlay of time and financial resources. Guest speakers added extra value to the course and included Bonnie Royal of Southwark Council, Lee Thompson of The Jack Petchey Foundation, Zaheer Mamon at The Capital Community Foundation and Sponsorship Consultant Polly Robinson.
