Stuart Silver

Stuart Silver is a BAFTA nominated, Perrier Award Winning, writer / performer / Director / Tutor working across theatre and gallery venues, television, radio, public spaces and experimental educational and mentoring contexts. He is the co-founder of multimedia performance group (nobleandsilver) and now performs solo and in new collaborations across the UK and internationally.

His first solo theatre show ‘YOU LOOK LIKE ANTS’ (a monologue with bluegrass ukulele) returned to Soho Theatre this Autumn and is continuing to tour the UK and beyond.

Stuart co-wrote and co-directed ‘Cabaret Simon’ at the Barbican, London with Lone Twin (Dec 2009) – a show for 4 to 10 year olds initially devised in collaboration with the children’s group at Discover, London. Stuart also created the in-show film for Lone Twin’s ‘Beastie’ – their real-world adventure for children.

He is the Creative Mentor and film-maker for phrased & Confused, working with spoken word artists and musicians to create new collaborative performances and devised ‘What we should have said…’ an original spoken word format for poets and musicians.

Stuart creates bespoke, sometimes large scale multi-discipline arts projects -playful, supportive, innovative environments for mixed ages , triggering collaboration, creative expression and sustained experimentation through multimedia, text, music and performance. Sites inc. The National Portrait Gallery, The Serpentine, The Open University, Colchester football Stadium and surrounding communities, Dartington, The Arnolfini, Primary and Secondary schools in London, Bristol and extensively for Creative Partnerships Haven Gateway. He also offers digital training support for professionals.

(nobleandsilver) garnered a cult following for their Channel 4 TV series ‘(‘nobleandsiver): GET OF ME’ and for 3 major theatre shows (Soho theatre, Arts Theatre London, Edinburgh Festival, Her Majestys theatre) and numerous one off commissions ( the British Library, BBC Electric Proms, Guerilla performance at Preston UCI cinema, month long residency at Beaconsfield Gallery, Vauxhall). Also for roles in The Boosh and Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace.
