Jenny Harris
Jenny’s programming, commissioning, fundraising and marketing experience, plus her background as an artist, mean she’s right at home in the hub’s “think and do tank” environment.
At the hub, Jenny gets to use her producer’s “toolkit” across our creative projects and apply her expert knowledge to a range of our music and creative industries projects. Most recently, she has worked on our New Music Yorkshire project, which researched and scoped out a business support model for small music businesses in the region, and UK Festivals Online, which piloted a new ticketing portal for smaller music festivals. She is producer on both Fertilizer and Phrased & Confused, and is currently programming the Phrased & Confused stage for this year’s Summer Sundae Weekender.
Jenny had a successful career as a freelance musician for a number of years before deciding to trade in her amp and life on the road for a supporting role in arts management. In her role as Senior Music Officer at Leeds International Concert Season, Jenny developed and produced the critically acclaimed inaugural FuseLeeds festival, which featured artists as diverse as Yo La Tengo, the London Sinfonietta, Evan Parker and Jonny Greenwood. She is currently an Associate Producer for Yorkshire’s 2012 legacy programme.
