Corpo de Baile

The Undoubted enfant terrible of Portuguese dance, Miguel Pereira, has had a long and close relationship with Laban, both as student and as visiting choreographer. In this 7-person all-male piece, Miguel’s wild ensemble work looks at classical ballet; its beauty, formality, structures, conventions and frustrations – chairs become people, people become chairs and the stage and performers go naked.
