What is Movimento?

Movimento5 is the second annual showcase of the best Portuguese contemporary choreography; supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and produced by the hub. Last year’s season, Movimento4, took place at Laban, in Nottingham and at Sadler’s Wells. This year Movimento5 will be under one roof, at Laban, between Tuesday 6th and Saturday 10th December.

Set on the Western frontier of Europe, Portugal is currently home to some of the most adventurous choreographic minds working in dance today. This year, three intrepid Portuguese choreographers present their work. Movimento5 will feature four UK premiers and two world premiers.

Artists involved in Movimento5 are:

Francisco Camacho
