You know how musicians get numbers – well Jacky’s one of those, and she’s our SME business planning mentor and trouble shooter. Drawing on 30+ years of senior management and shareholder-director experience, she demystifies the business planning and development process, demonstrating that it’s simply the familiar plotting and planning process that we all apply to our festivals, tours and projects - “what are we trying to achieve? how and when will we achieve it? how do its finances work? how do we safeguard it?”

Having inhabited the parallel universes of live music and senior management, Jacky migrated mid-career from the commercial to the creative sector where her experience has included being Chief Executive of The Stables live music venue during the period of its capital and organisational re-structuring; a Director of Milton Keynes Theatre & Gallery Company Ltd during its build and start-up; providing interim management for a County Council and a theatre and gallery capital project, development planning for 17 music organisations, 26 arts, festival and creative industries initiatives, 5 capital projects and 18 public sector bodies such as regional arts boards, local authorities and universities (see, we said she “got” numbers).

As well as being a key part of our team, and running her own consultancy company, Jacky’s also our very own company mentor - she’s so good we asked her to keep us on the straight and narrow!
